A Tier Table & Terra Cotta Flower Pots Rehab

This cute tier table was bought at a local store that sells used goods, often I find cute pieces like this there.
Its almost like a mini shelf but works nicely next to a bed or a chair.

I painted the legs/spindles first in basic white by BM , the rest is Winter Gates AC-30 also by BM.

I slightly distressed it and waxed it in natural bees wax.

 Here is the before

Here are the up-cycled terra cotta pots, I used two colors white and a blue and painted chalkboard labels on them all.

Here is the table and all the pots when I first brought them into my booth at Crompton.

Another Armoire Door To Chalkboard & Buntings

Remember my other armoire door to chalkboard? You can see that post here.
This is the other door finally finished! This one I went with my unknown name "oops" blue paint that I still have lots of paint left and did not distress this one this time.

I did not spray paint the hardware for this one either. Instead I sanded it to remove the shine, then I rubbed sophisticated finishes in iron to darken the hardware. This stuff is great, you can get it at Micheal's Arts and Crafts and I bought a two pack with the rusting solution as well. You can read more about this product here.

I normally would of done something more creative for the photo but I was in a rush to take tons of photos that day.

 Here is the before

Here are some of the buntings I made for the space, you can also order these on my etsy shop.

I decided to not sell the frames with the buntings, and yes my price tags were on them for the photo.

I also made wedding and love tags...and a horse because I love horses.

and bride and groom separated but sold together buntings, perfect for behind the chairs.

I also made these cupcake toppers...also in kraft color, I designed them on Photoshop.
I figured a way to display them all in the package using clipboard, paper and wire.

This week I'm not crafting at all...ok maybe a little bit...and I'm keeping my craft room neat and tidy! I am on the other hand making a mess in my workshop. I'm painting three big pieces this week. I need to make room to get to the other pieces I want to paint and bring to the vintage bazaar. I have another mid century modern credenza and a neat long shelf and a modern desk. I'm going to also paint these pieces in new colors I have already picked out...including a yellow.

Now to get back to work!

Stenciled Mini Dresser & A Feather Box

On Monday I shared a little blue side table with stripes and today is a small dresser that also could be great for a bed side table that I actually painted a long time ago. I started with a yellow color that was given to me by Dutch Boy....and I really didn't like the shade. So it sat for a while. Then I decided to stenciled the drawer fronts using a dark gray. It still sat for some time.
It was just one of those pieces I was not sure about.

I finally decided to distress the piece and add antiquing stain.

I then painted some wood knobs

Now its in the shop space at Crompton. I guess I just wanted to get it out of my workshop since I'm going to need all the room for painting large pieces for the vintage bazaar. I do like the way it looks know, much better then before. I also could not find any before photos, and to be honest I can't even remember what it looked like.

Lastly I painted this pin box with leather hinges in a  pretty blue color that I can't remember the name but this is the first time I used it....I'm sure I'll paint it with something else and write down the name.

I found a image with drawings of feathers and that helped me create the feathers on the box. I used a pencil to outline and I used a mix of gray, black and white pant for the colors.

Here is the before

Here is a photo of my car packed with the blue table I shared Monday and the stenciled dresser, you can see the color has more warmth in it, which it does in different light.

I will be sharing the next table soon...I'm also almost finish with the photos for our master bedroom redo which has basically been a year since I painted the room.

Blue & Stripes

This morning I mention the signs I made and now I'm sharing this little side table.

Unfortunately I can not find a before photo, most likely I didn't take one but It was decorated with flowers in olive greens and a creme color. So I prepped it,  primed it, and painted two coats of my favorite unknown opps paint. Then I painted the stripes in basic white. After drying for a few days I took the sander to it to distressed it.

I finished it off with clear wax.

Here are some of the small chalkboard I brought into Crompton. I had so many of these unfinished for a different project I never did so I stain some and painted some. I added sawtooth hanger to the back so you could hang them or add ribbon to them.

I also made more of my mini signs in two different styles. I made the sign on Photoshop.

I have so many more little make overs to share and our master bedroom also...I'm also working only on furniture this week so I'll be working on that chippy tutorial everyone is asking me about.

Also don't forget to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest I'm always sharing items I pick up or home decor.

Handpainted Signs & More

Yesterday I showed you photos of my space at Crompton Collective and now I'm sharing more of the details since I was able to get photos of everything I worked so hard on before bringing it in.

I made some signs

The first one is my favorite, simple and I just took my little artist brush and painted with out tracing or writing it with a pencil. I plan on making more of these soon. The vintage and wedding sign were traced and I plan on sharing a tutorial on how I do this. The last one I did like the first one.

I also love my arrow sign, which I did using blue tape.

Its long.

I painted over a canvas art I had in the basement that wasn't anything special and created this using blue tape.

and last I made up these little signs with left over wood pieces, they can also stand on a table easily or a shelf.

I love signs, especially painted on wood and distressed, I need to make a love you one for over our bed.

Friday I hustled to get everything finished, priced and packed in the car to go to Crompton. Technically I've been going crazy for the past two weeks to get everything done.

But I did and everything I wanted to go is now set up in my space.

This weekend was all about the vintage wedding week

I will be sharing more details on some of my work during the week including a few makeovers.

I worked on signs, chalkboards, my clay buntings and tags

I finished the other armoire to chalkboard.

 another stenciled mini dresser

this fun 3 tier shelf, filled with the pots I up-cycled.

I'll be back with details on the signs and the furniture makeovers.
