New Shelf
My new shelf's we just put up in the kitchen. I bought them from Ikea and I'm very happy about them. They were 7.99 for each and 4.00 for the brackets.
I think I'm going to paint the frames a bright blue to add some color to the room.

The Kitchen Chairs.....almost done
This is a older picture of the kitchen with the chairs. I only kept 2 of the them for the end.
This is what the side chairs are that I picked up at a yard sale. They were 4 for 10.00

The paint I had is ebony in BM
The 2 end chairs are finished I'm working on the polly for the side chairs......I can only paint 2 at a time since I dont have enough spare chairs. I'll get them all done soon.

Pictures of the kitchen with freshly painted walls {updated}
{ New pictures added }
$7.00 pendant light
Collecting cook books over the pantry
Painted table
Newly painted stools
It was hard to pick out a color for the kitchen. But I ended up with Manchester Tan from Benjamin Moore. The Island is finished but I have to wait to use it for a few more days to harden. The stools were painted by me a year ago. I like having the red color but I was thinking of getting different stools.
We need a new fridge. We plan on soon since the one we have is starting to make weird noises.
I was planning on sanding the table and staining it darker. I also painted my two end chairs black but they are still drying from the polly. Those black things on the side chair are Halloween bat covers. The kids love them.
I love these plates!!!! I like the design of them so I had to buy the plate holder to show them off in the corner of my kitchen.
I had this bakers rack here before but it was white and I decided to do it in black. I was thinking of distressing it but not sure when. I can fit much furniture in the breakfast nook so I was planning on buying some shelves.

Another Shade....
I made this one today for my bathroom and it work out well because its such a small window and the blinds are easy to make shorter by yourself. Thanks again to little green notebook blog. I added fabric to the top to cover the brackets that hold the shade since they weren't placed in the inside before. The fabric was 2.00 a yard. I found it at Joann's fabric store and it was on clearance. I think it was 10.00 a yard originally. But they are having an amazing sale right now.
Here is a picture of the fabric up close

Easy Fabric Roman shades
I just made these fabric roman shades last night and it took me about an hour to do it. It gets easier when you figure it out. I love them and they came out amazing thanks to The little Green Notebook's project she put up. I couldn't afford to buy fabric shades so this is a cheap project anyone can do. I got the fabric from Joann's and it cost me less then 20.00 for 2 yards of this fabric and 2 yards for another fabric and glue!

My Next Project......The Dining Room
So I'm almost done with the kitchen chairs, hopefully with be done by the end of the week since I have four more to paint. But I'm going to paint the dining room this weekend coming up. The picture here is the dining room. The chairs I sanded and stained and polyurethane. It was a long projects but well worth it and the best part was picking out my fabric and recovering the cushions. I wanted 2 different blue fabrics and in my hutch ( that my wonderful mother gave me) i have a collection of white, blue and white pottery. I made the curtains my self but now I've decided to paint the walls a light blue and want to do white curtains. We don't get much sunlight in this room. I plan on buying a new light fixture as well. Also if you look in the back round you can see the kitchen cabinets before they were painted this is a older photo since the dining room is technically being used as storage.
This is one of the color's I love from BM its Woodlawn Blue from there historical colors and I love there historical colors.
Here is one picture I found from Wind Lost Blogger ( http://windlost.blogspot.com ) using Woodlawn blue.
This is another picture I found, I forget from who but they also used Woodlawn blue. I think its such a beautiful color.
This is the other fabulous blue shade I love called Wedgewood Gray. The picture is from Pottery Barn.

The Island!
This is the top. Now we can actually use the bar stools and sit more comfortably.
Here is the finished Island.......I did black hardware instead of matching my creamy white cabinets. The paint color i did for the island is "Dry Sage" by BM I bought the hardware from Lowes and we did the stain in "provincial" by minwax. I love it and cant wait to use it.

Kitchen Cabinets part one
Don't mind the mess lol but this is a before photo of the cabinets. I will post pictures of the whole kitchen when i get a chance to get my old computer out.
This is after i finished painting, before the new hardware. I will post pictures of the kitchen done when I'm completely done if that will ever happen lol. The counter is a mess because I put new lining in the cabinets and organized all my stuff. The pink tile will have to stay pink until my man and I figure out what we will do about that.

The half bathroom is done!
I finally finished the half bathroom. I'm very happy about the color. It is a dark color but I was going for a bold statement in that room since no one is in there for very long. After fixing all the holes and priming it I picked out a different color then what i planned on getting. I ended up with "Timothy Straw" by Benjamin Moore. My camera makes a weird light on the wall.
I finally found old pictures of our half bath and wanted to post them so you could see what it did look like before.
We need to lower the mirror a bit.
{Here are some more links with updates on this bathroom}
