Happy Thursday and happy December 1st, its officially the Christmas month!
First d.i.y Christmas Craft idea
Paper Trees

These cute whimsical trees will add a festive touch to your decor, plus they dont cost allot to make.
What you need
paper
circle cutter
scissors
bone folder
Small Dowels (had mine on hand but can be found at craft stores)
I stain my dowels in dark walnut first, and cut down to three different sizes with my saw.
Small blocks for the base ( Found these at the craft store )
Start with making lots of circles from big to small
My circle cutter cuts from 1-8 inches, so for my biggest tree I cut a few 8 in, 7 1/2, 7 and so on. I made allot for my bigger trees.
I used a few different styles of papers for each tree
Once your done with your circles you can start to fold.
1. fold in half (wrong side facing you )
2. fold in half again, it doesn't matter which way you fold
3. fold in half again
4.and again, even with the smallest circle try to fold it as much as you can. It should look like a triangle shape.
5. snip of the tip, this makes your hole to go over the dowel. If you make your hole to big dont worry about it, you can use tape or hot glue gone to keep the paper in place on the dowel.
6. unfold and it should look like this
7.flip it over and carefully place through the dowel.
Keep doing this until your done with all the circles.
Keep doing this until your done with all the circles.
I painted my blocks in a gray craft paint then I used glitter paint. Once they are done I drilled holes in just big enough to fit the dowels in snug. I used a hammer to hit the dowels down all the way. You can add the dowels before the paper if you want.
Once your done with all your trees set them up together or separate around the house.

small
Total cost for me was $5.00
I only needed the blocks, they were .99 cents a piece and the glitter paint, which was $2 on saleEverything else I already had on hand.
