A Trip To New York

My family and I had a wonderful time on our vacation.

We drove out 7 hours away from home to be on the Lake Erie side of New York.

We  visited Niagara Falls ( more on that later )

We stopped half way up and stayed at a campground that wasn't that much fun and went into the pool and that was about it, then the next day we drove some more and went to another campground that was much better then the last one and enjoyed a day of hanging out.

The next stop was our last campground for the rest of the week and it was on Lake Erie and were had a trail near our sight to walk to a private beach area and the water was perfect and there were waves and I love it!

Here are some photo's I took on the ride

Barns, farms, and wide open spaces and went through some adorable towns.

Stop at the state beach before going into the 3rd campground

Where Have I been

I'm slacking on my blog, I've been busy busy packing and painting and friends visiting and I can not wait to leave for vacation.

We are driving up 7 and half hours to camp around Irving, New York.
I have never been this far up in New York and excited to see how its going to be. I've been camping ever since I was little. We used to go in the Cape Cod for camping and then we started going to Lake Sebago, Maine since I was 12 and went every summer until this year. Having a new family member ( Zoey our pup ) we wanted to take her with us but were we go we can't bring dogs.So this year we decided to go somewhere new.

We are driving in a camper, we've never done that either.
I have to say its will be pretty cool. The kids can sit on the couch or at the table when were driving. I can even pop popcorn in the microwave for a snack.
Its also been really easy to pack, I just put things away and put food in the fridge.

2. stove and microwave area

5.bunk beds and the big bed,and lots of closet space.

8. bunk beds

We are leaving soon and I still have a lot to do, most of the kids clothes are packed, we just have a lot of last minute things to do.

I also had another custom order chevron tags for a lovely customer on Etsy. I finished it in one day and will be mailing them today.

This time there in plum color.

My mother came by yesterday to see if I wanted some of my grandmother's items. She sadly passed away in May but was ill and she went peacefully and happy.

I'm really thrilled to have a few items from her to keep and hand down to my kids someday.

I received these Bombay TV trays, we dont normally eat in the living room, but when we have parties and friends over it would be nice for everyone to have a table.

I also got this neat tray table? It is also from Bombay and its interesting.
My mother says its a server. It folds up for easy storage.

and last I put a few of my finds on my corner hutch.

These pearls were also my Grandmother's and I wanted to show them off in the dish.

I will start my link party tonight and I hope everyone will join. I promise to get back to my blog as soon as vacation is over.

Have a lovely day!

OutdoorTable Ideas

I'm working on my outdoor bard server right now. Once that is complete I'm going to move on to my next project, and maybe I might even get a few things done before summer is over.

One of my plans is to make a canopy for the patio, I have my dads old pop up canopy base and all I need to do is spray paint it and make a cover with drop cloth and maybe even paint it? I also think adding curtains to the side would be nice like the shear ones on my porch.

My big project idea is building a long outdoor table.

I want a table that is long to fit a good amount of people around it, not to wide either.

I'm thinking using wide cedar boards.

I have two old picnic table benches that I want to use with it and add some mismatch wood chair, which I'm on the search for now.

Here are a few photos that have outdoor table I like.

I wish I could find chairs like this!

This is cute but to small

I'd like one of these in our backyard, is he included? j/k
Look at this outdoor shower!

All photos are via Pinterest, for some reason it wont let me copy the link location but you can find the photos on my page.
