I've been seeing allot of these pom pom flowers around lately.
I think they are just so cute and I had to make some for myself.
I went to Michaels and picked up a few different colors of yarn. They had this brand called "Sugar and Cream" and they were 4 for $5.
I found a few tutorials on Pinterest. I tried both, one using wire and the other using a piece of yarn to mold the flower. They both worked well.
These are the tutorials I used
I only had the green floral wire on hand so I decided to paint the skewers and use those for the stems. I also forgot to look for paper wrapped wire when I was getting the yarn.
I often forget things at the store
These are also simple to make

ReplyDeleteHow cute, this is the first time that I've seen pom pom flowers. And based from the tutorials you've shared, they look fairly easy to make. I'll try to make one this weekend.
ReplyDeleteTHese are really cute. I am working on some fabric pom poms to hang in my daughter's room. I love these! I got some Sugar and Cream yarn at Michaels awhile ago, when they had the $5 coupon off of any purchase. Mine was free. Yay! I used some to make a front door wreath, and I'm not sure what else I'll make.
