Spring Mantel

I decorated my mantel over the week with a few items to add a spring look.
I like simple and decorations that I can keep up for a while.
Although the flowers could stay all summer I think.

I love the fun colors I used to make the pom pom flowers. If you haven't read that post yet you can here.

The mirror was on another wall and decided to place it here instead of the rectangular one I normally hang above the mantel.

I painted the mirror last June.

I made the paper fan garland the other night. I punched holes in the back to pull the piece of yarn through. I punch circles out of a floral cardstock and glued them to the middle of the fan. I was going for a more flower look.

If you dont know how to make these I have a tutorial here.

To add some height to the birds i placed them on these little boxes that are silver around and have an orange tile on top.

I love how all the colors pop, and the room really needed some pop.

My orange pom pom flowers have found a spot on my corner hutch in the kitchen.

Do you see my brass owl?  He's so cute.

I finished my big custom order over the weekend, now I need to get working on more pieces.
I also have a party to plan and I'm almost finished making the invites. I love how the came out and will share a pic.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
