This is the awesome telephone table that I painted for a client. I just wish it was mine now.
The beautiful color is del mar blue code-704 by Benjamin Moore.
The before
lovely mug and saucer made by my sister Liz.
the color looks more bold in these photos
and the details
They wanted distressing so I sanded and scraped areas that would normally wear naturally so the seat, edges and the legs were distress more.
I'm going to share the rest of the pieces on Sunday...I'm going to try and stay away from work this weekend.
My Simply Creation's Link Party is also on until Sunday if you would like to join and share your work!
I love sharing my work also - click here to check out the link parties I attend

I think my telephone table is exactly like the before pic. I would like to get rid of it someday as I don't have the room for it. It has been sitting in the basement for a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteLove the color! My grandmother had one....we called it the gossip bench....lol
ReplyDeleteThis color is just yummy!! Great job with the distressing -- I need to get my 'gossip bench' out from under the basement stairs soon and re-do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking piece as an alternative to a console table in an entrance! LOVE the soft finish! Great job & thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline. This is my first time visiting your awesome blog. I found it through the Make The Scene hop and am now a new follower via GFC and Linky Followers. I am also following on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I am in the process of revamping and do not have all of those buttons up, but if you would like you can follow on GFC and/or Linky Followers.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say that I love this chair! It is one of my favorite colors and also one of my favorite color combos. I love blue with orange. I think you did a spectacular job on this, especially the distressed detailing. I think I would feel the same as you, I would be tempted to want to keep it for myself as well. Looking at the before photo... the difference is amazing.
Anyway, it's good to meet you, I will definitely be coming back here often.
Have an awesome day!
