The Little Things
For the Sowa Open Market I made these chalkboard sticks that you could use in flower pots to label plants or herbs. You can also use them for table numbers and food labeling at parties.
This shadowbox vintage frame was something I picked up in the fall and turned it into a chalkboard but loved how it can hold a small item on the shelf or you could throw you keys on it. I sold this at the end of the show.
This is the before
I painted this unfinished bread box in cottage colors with stripes on the door. I used graphite paper to transfer the letters and hand painted over the letters in a dark gray paint. I slightly distressed the edges.
This is a nice wood shelf with a towel bar...also a awkward piece to get a good photo. I didn't want to put holes in the walls to hang it. I painted the first coat in a greenish blue and the second coat in a light gray. I stained the towel bar in walnut and finished it off with wax.
before I painted it
I really need to get some work done this week for painting small pieces so I'm going to force myself to work.
We had a huge three day yard sale over the weekend and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I'm still exhausted from that.
I link up to fabulous parties here

You're so amazing for taking such good pics of all your small stuff. I never make the time to stage the small stuff I put in my store space but I always mean to. Love the little chalkboard labels!! I need to do that for Rhett's birthday party.
ReplyDeleteI really love that breadbox! Just adorable!
ReplyDeleteI would love for you to come by my party and link it up - the party just opened!

I love the shadowbox frame! We definitely need a place to throw our keys when we get home, and it would be so cute to put little notes on the chalkboard every day! I have a brand new link party going on and I'd be thrilled if you'd link this up :-)
