Here is the nightstand I finished a few days ago. She was suppose to be completed before our last show but I messed up the inside of the drawer when I was trying to line it with paper and mod podge. I believe she was to bumpy inside and it just bubbled up to much.
So I had to apply goo gone and let it sit and then scrape away paper for a day. I just decided using a stencil would be easier. It was.
This is the nightstand before. Solid wood and tall legs. Very old. I had to repair the top, the sides and the drawer.
I used a light green from my opps paint collection, its by behr and paint and primer in one. I painted a coat of white paint ( by Martha ) and then I painted a coat of light gray and that was a sample color, I can't remember the name but will look later.
She had some distressing done because she had so many imperfections in the wood.
I used a stencil from my Martha Stewart collection. I painted the inside Aqua Smoke by Behr and used Owl Gray by BM for the stenciling. I also distressed the inside because its uneven and bumpy texture.
I painted the outside of the drawer as-well.
The knob came from my knob collection ( I think I might have about 200 knobs ), this one being from Hobby Lobby and the only one I had.
This knob looks aged and perfect for this old nightstand.
I just love glass knobs.
I distressed the top to show off bits of wood and white from the first coat of paint.
I have another side table I finished, I will be taking photos of that next to share.
This nightstand will be going in to my Sowa collection for our next show in September.
I also added new items and some furniture to my Etsy shop.
