I gave the mudroom a fresh new look with some paint ( thanks to Dutch Boy and there Refresh® Paint) and a few changes. I still plan to do more redecorating and changes but that might take longer so I'm going to share the freshly painted walls now.
and yes I blurred my window, its not a pretty view to the garage.
Here it is now.
Technically I do need to finish the area by the pantry and fix the spot by the door.

I love the color, its Stonewall Jackson and Dutch Boy was so kind to send me two gallons of there Refresh® Paint.
I went for a satin for durability but its more like a eggshell sheen.
Here is the before
I decided to go for a dark shade instead of keeping it light, it feels warm and more inviting.
This is the room that the computer is in so I want to enjoy it more...this is the 3rd most room that I'm in during the day.
I know my bulletin board is cluttered but that's just how it always is.
Tomorrow I'm going to share the details about the room, I dont want this post to be to long so I'm breaking it up.
Now on to the paint
Dutch Boy sent me a fan-deck with a while ago but that's another story so it was easy to pick a color..... well..I did some research first and then went with Stonewall Jackson F15-3.
First I love the easy twist cap, you just need to make sure its not full of paint or it will dry and be hard to open and close it. I love that its zero vac Greenguard® Indoor Air Quality Certified
but some colors may not be after tinting with conventional colorants. , its better for the environment and your house. It barely had a smell to it although regular paint smell never seems to bother me. It has exceptional hide and durability....I didn't use primer on my walls.
As for the odor part I haven't smelled any stinky shoes lately.
The spout is my second favorite part about this paint. It really helps to not make a mess.
Even pouring into small cups.
dont drink that cup.
I noticed that the paint dried very fast, which is good but can be bad. Sometimes I take my time painting and never painted with anything that did dry that fast. But it was good for painting the walls because I was able to re-coat faster. The paint drys smooth with little brush marks and it coated well with a roller.
I only needed two coats for this room, I haven't finished the first gallon yet. I do still need to paint a few areas and would like to get some trim in this room. But for now I'm satisfied with the paint color and Dutch Boy.
I definitely recommend using Dutch Boys Refresh® Paint.
Its also very affordable for a zero voc paint.
Don't forget tomorrow I'm going to share more details of the mudroom and what I want to change.
I share at these amazing link parties here.
disclaimer- Dutch Boy sent me these two gallons of paint for free for a review, However, my opinions are entirely my own and 100% mine.

love it! that color is fabulous! and i love the set up, too!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with Dutch Boy...it's the only paint I'll use in our house! We almost painted Stonewall Jackson in our master bedroom, but ended up going with Sheet Metal instead - such a beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteLove it too! The color is so warm, and the storage...sigh...so jealous. :) You have a great eye for design!
ReplyDeleteYour mudroom looks so fresh, great job! I've been looking for a 'warm' grey; I'll definitely be putting Stonewall Jackson on my list.
