I wasn't to sure what this was for except that it looked like a buffet and then when I opened it up it seamed more like a bar/server.
I can also see it in a hall or in a living room for storage.
Here is the now picture
This defiantly is a old piece, some veneer peeling off and I like to show the oldness so I just ripped off the veneer that was peeling and painted over it.
I dont agree with trying to make old pieces totally new again.
Here is what it can do
This side opens up and has a little pull out flat drawer, could be useful for books, or liquor?
There is a bottom drawer that is not deep but could be great for magazines or table linens.
Open the top to have guest get there drinks? Or use for storage.
All opened up
Although I used a fun blue color I still wanted to distress it, and I kept the original hardware.
Love the curvy detail
There is a lot of simple detail in this piece.
I placed this piece behind my couch so I could get good photos of it, it is a piece I will be selling.
I primed this with my Stix's primer from BM and did 3 coats of a mystery blue paint and sealed the top and front with a water based sealer.
I've had this piece done for a while now but needed help getting it upstairs, now I'm working on my kitchen chairs and outdoor bar/server.
Don't forget to come back to join my link party.
I'll be sharing this at many great blog parties click here to see them.
