For Your Information

When I picked up some letters from Restoration Hardware outlet for $1.49 a piece I was really excited I just grab a few letters I liked, there wasn't much left.

I ended up buying W T F Y I, I didn't even realize I had F Y I.

This is what the letters looked like when I bought them
They were from the baby/kids section

I placed them above my newly made over bulletin board

My technique for these were kept simple, I primed, painted with my favorite blue (now called my obsession blue because it has no name) mixed my Ralph Lauren metallic glaze with some gray paint and painted over the letters, then wipe it off, then I added my antique glaze and rubbed all over. This way they have a worn out look and the blue inst to bright.

I gave the W a makeover for the laundry room

For this letter I mixed the metallic glaze with black and white paint to make gray to give it a metal look.

I just love wood letters, I have T left for one of the boys and would like to get a letter for each, or make them when I get a scroll saw someday.
