Mudroom Mood Board

Its raining again today and I have done some cleaning and painting in the workshop, keeping the kids occupied, and made a mood board for my design plan for the mudroom.

So for my mudroom I'd love for it to be bright and happy in the morning, especially for getting the kids ready to go, but the biggest problem, one tiny window that is the door to the garage, so no natural light in here.
1.My paint color choices I like would maybe be a light green or a sunny yellow or keep it neutral with white.

2. The fabric choice i picked I'd like dark blues and yellows, with geometrical designs

3. Fabric for the cushion on the bench, I want to make a long cushion for the bench using a bold blue and white stripped fabric, something you wont see dirt on easily. I'd love to find this is outdoor fabric also, for easy cleaning.

4. I like to have a little curtain on the door, privacy reasons, I'd like to make a ruffled sheer white curtain.

5. Rugs - Both these rugs come from Ikea and there affordable and neutral

6. lighting, okay the first light is called a fisherman's weather copper bronze light fixture and I do love it, its about $50, and I'd need two for the mudroom, but I absolutely love it! The second is the schoolhouse globe, I love this, and this would be more affordable.

What do you think about my mood board? If you have any opinions on paint colors fee free help me out.

Over the weekend I went shopping, it was a tax-free holiday here in MA so I bought all the school supplies and backpacks for the kids.

Jans sport backpacks...$22 a piece at Target...great price...these can last more then a year.

I picked up a few things for myself

I will be giving this a makeover, and i think it will be cute in the kitchen

I bought these neat hooks at 50% off

Much needed Purdy brushes, I usually dont buy them from the big box store but they were $20.00 for a three pack.

This is what I've been working on

I've been up-cycling these shelves
