A D.i.y Christmas: Fabric Scrap Wreath

Fabric Scrap Wreath

This is a quick and very low cost project if you are like me and have to much fabric laying around, especially scraps. I kept mine skinny and I want to be able to have it up after Christmas so I kept the colors simple and the ribbon can easily be removed.

{its been rainy here and photos are not the best today }

What you need

  1. embroidery hoop
  2. fabric scraps
  3. glue
  4. twine or ribbon for hanging
  5. contrast ribbon
  6. scissors

cut fabric into strips, this will be your base fabric to cover the hoop

wrap the strips around using glue for the first strip and last so it doesn't unravel.

When your done with this start cutting strips of fabric you want for your wreath, I forgot to take photos of my strips but I did different fabrics and different sizes of width.

To add the strips I just wrapped one at a time around the hoop and tied it.

For the Christmas look I added three pieces of my red satin ribbon.

then I tied a long piece of twine to hang my wreath, I covered the twine on with a piece of fabric to cover it on the wreath.

This wreath didn't cost me a dime, I had everything around the house.

That's it, I still need to find a place to put it and I'll get better pictures on a sunny day.

Yesterday I shared my Joy Wall Art made from wood plaques, you can see that here

My Christmas Themed Link Party will start later today.
