The Piano Bench & Stripes

Here is the piano bench that I painted in black satin paint. I added glaze that i mixed with a white paint then rubbed all over the bench. I painted the stripes with a the same white paint. I distressed using my electric sander and waxed with beeswax.

A simple makeover except that I forgot to take a before photo. It wasn't painted before so I had to sand and prime. I actually painted this months ago and waited for the black paint to not be sticky. Finally it was ready for glaze.

After that I decided to add the stripes.

I also used my new wax. Daddy Van's Beeswax. I have to say I really love this wax. It  has no smell and its all natural. It only cost me about $12 and I bought it from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company.

It makes a great coffee table or a bench.

and here is the surprise. I painted the inside in my favorite opps paint. I think its more turquoise. I also distressed the inside.

This is a pillow I made to sell. It matches my telephone table fabric

I also wanted to share this little art I did using stencils from Martha Stewart.

Now I still have more stuff to do and projects to finish. I'm done with the furniture.

I'm so excited for The Vintage Bazaar!
