Herringbone Mid Century Dresser

I finally have taken photo's of the herringbone mid century dresser I finished a week and half ago.

You know how I love this style and because of its flat drawer fronts and no hardware I knew it was perfect for a fun design.

Here he is

in grays and off white
and the wood legs left original wood

I used a gray oops paint for the base, the off white color is Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore and the deeper gray is Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore the same color as the gray mid century and yellow piece.

I bought a herringbone stencil for this project. Although that helped create the design but it wasn't perfect. So I took a slightly darker gray then the base color and outline every line with a tiny paint brush. This was tedious and took me about an hour a drawer but worth it.

The before
well after I took two drawers out

The inside of the drawers are in great condition

This is defiantly different from my first herringbone project which I used the tape technique, about the same amount of work but skinnier lines.

This is cute and a classic design.
I'm bringing this to my shop space at Crompton tomorrow!

I will be sharing my Herringbone mid century dresser at some link parties...click here to see which ones
