Not to long ago I shared my craft room but had mention a few areas that I wanted to do things with. One was making a office area. A place to sort receipts, paperwork and more.
I had these old IKEA legs in there boxes that I bought about two years ago for $10 each so I put them together and placed this desk top on top that was in our laundry room. Its actually a bit to small so I'll be on the look out for something bigger. I also have plans on staining the legs when the Vintage Bazaar is over.
I plan on hanging a large chalkboard/cork-board when I get the time to make one.
The IKEA rug was a find at a yard-sale for $5.
I painted this chair about a month ago and decided to keep it for this area.
I still need to make names for the storage boxes. I bought the labels at Staples. You can tell I didn't do a good job at attaching them in a straight line.
This filing cabinet was free find by my guy, I love the original baby blue color. I want to find a place for this next to the desk area.
and the other things
Here are the lovely flour sack towels I have been working hard on for the Vintage Bazaar. I will show more of them when I finish.
This is the chair I actually painted a year ago. It has been one of those projects...only because it needs buttons and I am having a hard time with that. I'm hoping to figure it out eventually otherwise It will never be completed.
I'm also bringing a bunch of these with wire attached for flowers to hang, lanterns or silverware holder.
The bazaar is almost here and I'm working everyday and at night to get things done. I have decided this year I will only be making my clay tags, a few clay buntings and the towels. I will be up-cycling items and will have a good assortment of furniture and a variety of vintage goods from globes to topography maps and kitchen goods...plus much more. I'm always posting photos on my instagram and my facebook page. You can find both links on my buttons on the top of this blog.
I will be sharing my office area in progress at these awesome link parties listed here.
