Today I'm finally sharing the picnic benches I painted for our dining room!
The dining room is my favorite little room in the house. It doesn't get used much. The occasional parties, kids homework and projects. I really wanted less clutter since we have to walk through the room to get to other areas of the house.
One of these days I'll draw up a floor plan of our house to show you.
Anyway back to the benches. I had these in my storage for some time now. Yes I forgot about them. I looked at stores to buy benches and yet I had some that just needed some tlc.
I had to use a little glue and some nails to fix the legs and I primed them and painted them in a basic white.
Eventually I'm going to repaint the legs on the dining table.
I forgot mention that all my craft stuff gets piled on here to go back down to my craft room.
I wanted the beautiful grains to show through so I used my electric sander to distress the benches.
Here they are from when I first brought them in my workshop....excuse the mess. Its actually worse these days.
If you want to see more on the rug I painted for the room you can do so here. I'll be posting some of the small changes I've done in the room since then.
I will be sharing the picnic benches makeover at many awesome link parties, you can see which ones here.
