Felt Wreath : Part One

Update - The tutorial is here

I'm very excited to share my first craft for this Christmas year! Although this felt wreath can stay up all winter long because its so cute.

Since I have many photos to share I will be posting the tutorial shortly after this post.

My inspiration for these wreaths were boxwood and laurel style wreaths. They are so expensive and gorgeous. Since I love crafting I thought I'd create a wreath with a similar look. Felt is affordable and easy to work with. I buy my felt by the yard. I think when I bought this green felt it was on sale at $2.99 a yard.

I also wanted my wreath to be skinny. So my form is a embroidery hoop! I've actually used embroidery hoops for many wreaths that I've made in the past.

Did you notice my gold antlers? I bought them from Target! Only $19.99. I had to purchase them online because my store does not carry them.

I could of went with a lighter green but there were only two types of green colors to choose and I feel like the dark green was nicer.

The little white pom poms are not actually glued on...I'm still not sure if I should skip them or keep them there.

I have already made a bunch of these in different sizes. I'm making them for my booth at Crompton Collective.

I even made this gray one. This is using less leaves which I will share how to make both in the tutorial. So check back on how to make a felt wreath!

also don't forget to check out my Anthropologie inspired fur stool!
