Triangle Lamp & Mini Drop Leaf Table

This lamp was a fun and simple make over. I love painting small home decor items. The burlap shade came with it but I'm not sure if it was original. The table is a oval drop leaf. I have never seen one similar to this one. The legs take the most time to paint. The color is Benjamin Moore covington blue. Its a nice light shade of blue.

The lamp was painted in my custom gray chalk paint. The triangles are painted in gold, light pink and black. I made a stencil out of thick paper using the Silhouette Machine. I made the triangle pattern on Photoshop Elements first. The paper actually worked well for a stencil. I wasn't sure if it would hold up to use on all sides and two coats for each triangle but it did.

I can picture this lamp in a little girls bedroom but would be a perfect fit for a teen as well. I'd actually use it anywhere. I almost kept it for myself.

I'm currently collecting furniture ( with the help of my guy ) and getting ready to work on new pieces for the shop and the Vintage Bazaar this spring. I'm excited to do the show again.  Although that spring was hot I'm hoping for a not so hot this year.  I am also planning out how I want my space to look and what type of vintage items I already have that will go. This is the fun part. The hard work will happen in a few weeks when I can actually move the furniture around myself. I even have a new paint sprayer that I received for Christmas and I'm excited to try it. I usually hand paint or roll on paint. I'm even going to invest in a high quality pole tent. My tent last year didn't make it through a storm so I need something I can trust and won't leak inside.

The dates for the show are June 21 and the 22nd. You can see more info on there Facebook page HERE.
