I recently made this adventure awaits wall hanging using a embroidery hoop, fabric, felt, paint and embroidery thread.
I made it for Harper's room, since she doesn't have that much on the walls yet but its still hanging up on our bedroom wall.
I love the mountains and adventure ( i also made a felt mountain pillow and will share soon )...and that adventure doesn't mean just going outside. It can be anything you adventure into. The definition is an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity. I know Harper will have many adventures growing up.
I used a cotton thick fabric, similar to jean material and I hand wrote the adventure awaits using a pencil. I went over that with a fabric pen and then a paint pen. The kind you refill yourself.
I filled in some areas with a green ombre embroidery thread. I also made little plus signs in white thread all over.
The mountains are made of felt.
The embroidery hoop broke when I was tightening it and I used decorative tape to hold it together so I could finish it. I hot glued the bakers twine to the back to hang it.
I'm working on some other wall hangings to sell and I'm planning to make a few similar to this to sell as well.
