Weston’s dresser

Weston finally had his own dresser. This dresser I made over years ago and it now belongs to Weston. He was sharing with Harper’s dresser and only had one wide deep drawer and it was a mess.

This dresser is spacious inside and I don’t even have much of anything inside because he really needs a wardrobe update. He outgrows clothes so fast.

I want to get new hardware to update it and maybe down the road repaint it or take the trim paint off and stain it to match. I am not sure what I want to do yet and it looks okay in the room currently.

These are some of the hardware I like. The whale one is my favorite but the holes are wider so I’d have to redo the dresser to make them fit. Eventually he will have his own room and a modern ocean theme or simple space theme would be amazing.

Although I don’t really do themes.

From top left to right

  1. Industrial Antique Brass Pull

  2. Mandara Champagne Bronze Pull

  3. Jute Pulls

  4. Blue Whale Pulls

  5. Skylar Handle

  6. Ornately Detailed Champagne Bronze Pull

I also like to add cute paper to the inside of the drawers. With Harper’s I used a high quality wrapping paper. But down below are some wallpapers that peel and stick and I think they would work great but maybe more time consuming.

Its so easy to update any dresser with just new hardware. I will share his dresser when I decided on hardware….hopefully soon.

Finds For The House

With Amazon Prime day here I wanted to share some of my favorite finds for the house….like this 3 Pack Macrame Plant Hanger with three different sized from small to large. I currently have my boston fern in the largest one and I’m still deciding on what plant to put in the smaller ones.

I bought this set of 4 JUMMICO Metal Dining Chairs that are stackable back in March and we really love them. They are really sturdy, awesome quality and the price is affordable. I prefer metal chairs when you have kids because I swear the older kids broke like 5 chairs and I decided I did not want wood ones anymore.

I started about a month ago using pillowcases to help my hair and found these Bedsure Satin Pillowcase for Hair and Skin, they come in a 2 pack and I bought the king size ones. I wish I had bought them sooner. They also seem to help me feel cool on hot summer nights.

This Jerrybox Vanity Organizer, 360° Rotating Adjustable Makeup Storager has been the best thing I bought for storing my skincare, make up and brushes. I love being able to spin it around and you can adjust the shelves to fit different size products. I keep all my brushes on and store some jewelry and sample size products in the top.

I am always taking the kids to the beach or the park and I like having containers to put there lunch or snacks in. These Bento Lunch Box’s are the ones we are currently using and they come as a 2 pack ( pink and green ) with little forks also.

I just recently ordered the Ninja Nutri Ninja Personal Blender. I make protein smoothies almost every day and my blender pitcher broke and a replacement was about the same cost of buying this. I actually prefer this blender for smoothies over the regular blender I had. I read it is great for jucinging but have not tried it yet.

Lastly I wanted to share this Bissell 3624 SpotClean Professional Portable Carpet Cleaner because it has been a lifesaver and amazing on large rugs or even small rugs and if you have messy little ones and pets. I use this on our living room sectional and it cleans it so well. Definitely the best cleaning product I purchased.

Sewing and Craft Armoire

sewingarmoire-1.jpeg

I recently shared my new workspace and you can read that here. Today i am sharing about the computer armoire that I painted and now holds my sewing machine, tools, silhouette machine and accessories.

You also can see to the right Harper’s craft area…I will share more on hers in another post.

We got this for free years ago and we used it for the family computer. It was nice to hide it when it wasn’t in use. When we turned this area into my workspace I wanted to keep it here and use it to store my sewing and other things. We ended up attached the desk top to it.

Before we made this into a workspace I painted it in simply white by Benjamin Moore. It was black with a green color inside.

My hubby added the hardware that I found on clearance at IKEA since it did not have any and was difficult to open.

Its really hard to get a good photo of the inside…not much light and anytime I open the doors Weston comes running to play with them.

I used a oops paint for the inside. Its a off white color that I found for $5 at Home Depot.

I did not paint the inside of the doors or the keyboard shelf because I plan to add organizers and cork board down the road.

We used the IKEA SUNNERSTA rail. The hooks and containers are great for organizing. It was a little difficult hanging.

I had the accordion peg rack and thought it would be great for storing my fabric scissors that I have to hid from my hubby.

The ribbon organizer I already had but I found this one that is basically the same Wooden Ribbon Ladder.

The little bins on bottom shelf hold power cords and other items those are from IKEA..SOCKERBIT Box.

Here is the only before photo that I could find on my phone from years ago…with the dog in the way. I could not find a before of the inside.

I still have so much more craft items I need to put away and organize and I need get rid of some that I don’t use.

Thank you for reading!
